Craig Keister, owner of Mandrake's Antiques, has been involved in the buying, selling and restoration of fine American antiques for over 30 years. During that time he has developed an extensive technical and aesthetic knowledge. This enables him to locate and offer his customers the finest furniture from the East Coast, where he has developed numerous contacts over the years. Every item in the showroom has been personally selected by Craig for its quality and craftsmanship.

Craig opened Mandrake's in 1990 in Belltown to share his love of finely crafted furniture with the people of Seattle and the Northwest. Later, in 1991, he moved his store to Ballard where he thrived for the next 7 years. When the owner of his building sold it to the Safeway grocery chain he moved Mandrake's to Carnation, where he liked the area but not the commute. He and his wife Linda moved the business to its current location in Ballard in April of 2000 and are glad to be back home again. They have been finely tuning the new space to help enhance your shopping experience and to present their collection of antiques to you in a way they are pleased with. Craig and Linda are looking forward to serving you, in the new location, in the years ahead.

Mandrake's strives to bring you authentic American antique furniture (specializing in the period from 1830 to 1940) which Craig has selected on his frequent buying trips to Pennsylvania, New York and throughout New England. The pieces he brings back to Seattle are hand-packed and transported with the greatest care to the showroom, where they are presented in their original condition to you. In our store, we offer a cozy, friendly environment where you can come and browse our extensive collection. A salesperson will be available to help answer any questions or point you toward your next piece of antique furniture.

Mandrake's will do authentic restoration on antiques purchased by our customers. If you would like your newly-purchased antique to match something at home, our skilled refinishers will take care of it for you. We take the time to do it right and will always provide excellent workmanship in everything we do for you.

We can arrange to have your antiques re-upholstered, if you wish, and will recommend only the finest craftsmen available. If you need your purchase delivered, let us know and we will arrange it for you. Craig will make most local deliveries personally. He enjoys the opportunity to see your selection in its new environment. This also gives him a better understanding of what your decorating needs may be in the future.
